FAQ

Frequently
asked.

Have a question not answered here? Reach out directly.

Get in touch  →
Does anything new need to be purchased?+
Rarely. The entire approach is built on maximizing what already exists in the space. For most residential projects, Sarah works exclusively with the client's existing furniture, art, books, and accessories. For Full Edit projects, a small selection of supplemental accents may be recommended — florals, a striking object, additional books or textiles — but even then the investment is minimal. A supplemental budget is discussed during the consultation, and the client always remains in control of it.
How long does it take?+
The Consult is scoped to the space and needs — it is a focused session, not a fixed window. The Refresh is a half-day engagement. The Full Edit is one to two full days depending on the scope of the home. Shoot styling is scoped based on the photographer's schedule — Sarah typically arrives 2–3 hours before the shoot begins. Bookings fill quickly, especially in spring and fall, so reaching out 2–3 weeks in advance is recommended.
Is travel outside Houston available?+
Yes, for the right projects. Greater Houston is covered without travel fees. For Dallas, Austin, and beyond, a travel and expense fee applies. Projects have been completed in major Texas cities and out-of-state for select clients. Share your project details and we'll determine whether it's a fit.
Do you work with interior designers?+
Absolutely — and it is a significant part of the practice. Sarah operates as a finishing service, stepping in discreetly at install or reveal. Many designers keep her on standing retainer for reveals, photography days, and seasonal refreshes. Trade partnerships available.
How is discretion and privacy handled?+
Discretion is standard practice — not an exception. All client work is treated with complete professional confidentiality. For trade and designer partnerships where client identities or project details are sensitive, Sarah is glad to sign an NDA prior to engagement. Privacy and trust are foundational to how she works.
How does pricing work?+
All residential work is flat-fee — the investment is clear upfront with no surprises. A 50% deposit holds the date; the balance is due on the day of service. Shoot styling and commercial projects are quoted at a day rate. Supplemental accent sourcing is billed separately at cost plus a 15% sourcing fee. Major credit cards, Zelle, and bank transfer are all accepted.
What preparation is required?+
Very little. The space should be clean, and any major repairs or painting should be complete before the session. For shoot days, personal items that should not be photographed should be cleared. Beyond that — everything else is handled. All details are reviewed after booking the discovery call.
